Will it be a nightmare trying to get this particular iPod Classic to reliably use a 256Gb SDXC card? Is this even possible with Rockbox? I am not at all Rockbox savvy or knowledgeable, but I know members on this forum are. version how stupid does that even sound?) to get around this BS Apple firmware lock down preventing "LBA48". So the million dollar question is should I just settle and use a 128Gb SDXC card, or is there a way with using Rockbox on a 6th Gen. It's not the end of the world, it had a damaged LCD display and a fair amount of scratches etc. ![]() I'm sort of furious all over again at Apple with all of their stupid quirks and obscure model differences, although I would have been wise to better research this before buying it on eBay to refurbish. "1st Generation" 80GB slim, and it apparently has some stupid Apple firmware lock down which prevents enabling something called LBA48, which in turn limits the size of the hard drive used (including SDXC cards) to 127.7Gb. ![]() It turns out I might have another issue, I have a 6th Gen. ![]()
